Hedging inflation
Inflation is a challenge for investors because it erodes the real value of investment returns, deflating purchasing power over time. One way to help lessen the bite of rising or persistently high inflation is to diversify portfolios with a mix of assets, including securities whose values track the Consumer Price Index (CPI) or commodity prices.
The funds below invest in securities that have hedge against inflation, including Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS) bonds and commodities in categories such as agriculture, energy, and precious metals.
