Ultra-short bond ETFs

Ultra-short bond ETFs are designed for investors who are focused on preserving assets but would also like to earn income. Using short-term investment grade corporate bonds and money market instruments, these ETFs aim to beat the returns of cash and typical money market funds without incurring substantially more risk. The very short durations of the securities they buy—usually less than a year—seek to lessen the risk from changing interest rates.
